Here is the latest addition to the series: the Emperor’s Grandeur. True to its name, the Grandeur makes an exceptionally grand impression; this watch doesn’t just feature one or two details that make it stand out.

The entire piece as a whole is bold, imposing, beautiful, and has a commanding presence that can’t be found anywhere else. A spectacular achievement of craftsmanship, the Grandeur bears a few similarities to its predecessor, the Emperor, but this timepiece is larger by 8mm, bringing the case size to 50mm!

Whereas the Emperor features an open heart complication that displays the balance wheel, the Grandeur is completely skeletal, and on top of that, it is a pure mechanical watch, the way watches were made over two hundred years ago! The movement, ST-91011 caliber, was tested and certified by our highly trained and certified watch makers has 22-jewels and powers the balance wheel at 21,600 vibrations per hour. On top of that, the Emperor’s Grandeur has an amazing 60 hour power reserve! That’s five days on a pure mechanical movement!

The massive case was blanked from solid bars of 316L surgical grade stainless steel, and along with our very own Krysterna crystals, this handsome timepiece is rugged and well protected in form and stature. Equipped with an alligator embossed genuine leather strap, strapping on the Emperor’s Grandeur will give you a commanding presence that cannot be ignored.

Stuhrling Original cases are distinguished by their technical complexity, their high-end aesthetic appeal and the quality of their finish. The watch cases are made from antimagnetic 316L surgical grade stainless steel, an extremely sophisticated alloy designed to stand up to intensive use. The rough parts, known as "middlecases" are blanked from a metal bar using a high-performance press. They then undergo eight successive stamping operations of a strength increasing gradually from 20 to 85 tons.

Before each swaging operation, the middlecase is refired at a temperature of 1100 degrees Celsius, so as to temporarily reduce the hardness to a total stamping pressure of more than 400 tons. Finishing the cases then calls for fifteen polishing operations, all performed by hand alternating with nine baths guaranteeing immaculate cleanliness. Other components of the cases, such as rotating bezels or rider tabs also require a meticulous finish. The components of the cases are finally assembled by hand and rigorously tested.
